The "MEMORY BEARS AND BUNNIES" theme originated with the unexpected death of our beautiful 34 year old daughter Wendy "WINK". One of the brownie bears was sewn from her original uniform with the badges and pins attached. The hat and scarf were also hers. In the picture below - the Douglas tartan is our family clan - the red and white teddy was Wendy's nightie - the white head with angel wings was a piece of her white skirt. Although I cannot hold Wendy in my arms I feel some COMFORT in HUGGING the teddies made from her personal belongings, after all, that's the whole idea TEDDIES were born. All of the memory bears I design are not strictly belongings of the deceased but from clothing worn for special events such as graduations, Christenings, proms, weddings to name a few.
